Basil Mcnaughton

Mr. Basil R. McNaughton, age 95, died Thursday, June 4, 2009. He was born on August 22, 1913 in Campbell, MI to George & Lura (Stadel) McNaughton and married the former Helen Hubbard on October 11, 1933. For the last 25 years of his working life, he was employed by the Oldsmobile Corporation in Lansing, from which he retired. He was a member of Bretton Woods Covenant Church in Lansing and attended Forest Park Covenant Church in Muskegon as well as being a proud member in the United Auto Workers Union. Nothing was more important to him than his family and he will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Son, Robert (Carol) McNaughton; daughter, Marjorie (William) Gustafson of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen who died a few weeks short of their 70th anniversary in 2003. SERVICE Sunday, June 7, 2009, 3 PM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Forest Park Covenant Church. A Graveside Service will be held at Deepdale Cemetery in Lansing on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 1 PM.
