Barry Shumake

Mr. Barry L. Shumake, age 61, of Allendale died Sunday, November 15, 2009. He was born in North Carolina on August 29, 1948, to Boyd and Joyce (Auten) Shumake. Mr. Shumake had been employed as a truck driver at Holland Specialty for four years. He attended Robinson Baptist Church; and loved sports, hunting, studying the Bible and the guitar. He will be dearly missed. Survivors: son, Scott (Krista) Shumake of Grand Haven; daughter, Michele (Chad) Herreman of Grand Haven; grandchildren: Addison, Nicole, Samantha, Daniel, Marisa and Kyah; mothers, Joyce Shumake and Alice Shumake; sister, Deb (Allan) Emery of Fennville; nine brothers and sisters-in-law; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his church family. He was preceded in death by his father, Boyd; and special uncle/brother, Dewey. Service: Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 1 p.m. at Robinson Baptist Church with Pastor Timothy Kitchen officiating.
