Barry Leroy George Mcpheron

Barry Leroy George McPheron age 67, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007 after a short illness. Barry was born on September 2, 1940 in Muskegon, MI to Vernon and Myrtle (Morphew) McPheron. Barry grew up and attended school in the Muskegon Heights area. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1962. He retired in 2002 from Dresser Industries Tool making/Lift Tech after 39 years. Barry was a member of the Grand Haven American Legion and Tice Shores Moose Club in Fort Myers, FL. He was also active with the Fruitport Eagles where he served as President for 2 Years and Trustee for 14 years. At the time of his death he was Vice President of the Sun-N-Fun Trailer Park in Ft. Myers, FL and on the Board of Directors at Shaw Box Credit Union. Barry enjoyed Bowling for much of his adult life and was an avid Golfer, especially after his retirement. Barry was preceded in death by his father: Vernon Lawrence McPheron, His wife: Patsy Lee McPheron, 2 Brothers-in-law: Jack and Jerry Brandow and 1 Grandson, Joseph Barry Hagerty. He is survived by his mother Myrtle McPheron, his father and mother-in-law: Mervin and Leah Woolf, 3 Brothers: Howard and Marie Allen, Vernon McPheron and Merlin and Naurine McPheron, 2 Sisters: Marlene and Terry Hagen, Lois Mathews & John Gibson. 2 Brothers- in-law: Keith and Carol Woolf and Ike and Carol Woolf. 3 Sisters-in-law: Rosemary and Joseph Rogalla, Judy Brandow and Sharon Brandow. 2 Children: Dawn and David Hagerty and Gerald McPheron. 7 Grandchildren: Emily and Jason Howard, Brett McPheron, Hillary McPheron Maisie Hagerty, Caitlin Hagerty, Patrick Hagerty and Abigail Hagerty. 2 Grandsons: Bremen Howard and Traiven Howard. A very Special Friend: Pert Strysick. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 2:00pm at the Throop Funeral Home with Pastor John Rop Officiating. Burial will follow at the Sullivan Township Cemetery. Luncheon will be provided by the Fruitport Eagles Auxiliary. The family will be present at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00pm & from 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends.
