Barbara Ann Rams

Mrs. Barbara Ann Rams, age 88, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on April 9, 1933 to John and Helen Thoma and married John Henry Rams on August 24, 1957. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2017. Mrs. Rams had worked at the Muskegon County Register of Deeds and then the Health Department until retiring. Barb enjoyed playing bridge with all of her boisterous card club friends or playing a rousing game of Skip Bo with her two granddaughters. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening (and dancing) to music of all types and going for walks with her husband along the shores of Lake Michigan. They also sailed on their sailboat. Barb loved to volunteer at the local library with John and both were big supporters of the library. One of her most favorite activities was line dancing with her friends .She also enjoyed traveling, taking a 3 week cross country trip to Seattle with her family and going on trips along with her granddaughters to Williamsburg and Wisconsin Dells. She also enjoyed spending time gardening in her backyard. SURVIVORS She is survived by her sons, Robert (Charr) Rams of St. Clair and Scott Rams of Muskegon; grandchildren, Kirsten (Jon) & Kellie (Steven); brother-in-law, James (Judy) Rams; and sister-in-law, Janet Fortenbacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her 3 sisters, Lois, Joyce and Diane. SERVICES Per her request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
