Barbara Maxwell

Barbara C. Maxwell, age 81, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007, at McAuley Place. She was born April 25, 1926, in Canada to the late Alex and Margaret (Thombs) McDiarmid. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Joseph B. Maxwell Jr. on April 29, 2003. Surviving are her children, Larry (Joan) Maxwell, Margaret (Jim) Ingalls, Joel (Luana) Maxwell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a brother in law and sister in law, John and Marguerite Maxwell. Barbara was a retired Medical Secretary from Muskegon General Hospital, and past member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge, along with being an avid reader and sports fan. Funeral services for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be next to her husband Joseph in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
