Barbara Ann Kasmauski, age 70, of Spring Lake passed away Monday, July 23, 2007, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was born March 3, 1937, in Lyons, MI, to Howard and Irene (Wood) Peacock, and she married William "Bill" Kasmauski on September 4, 1953, in Grand Haven. Mrs. Kasmauski was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake and was formerly employed as an administrator of communication at North Ottawa Community Hospital. She enjoyed working on the lunch committee at St. Mary's Catholic Church and was active with the St. Mary's Festival. She was also president of the American Legion Post #28 Auxiliary in Grand Haven. Mrs. Kasmauski was active with the Girl Scouts for over 45 years and had served as Assistant Aide to Girl Scout Troop 2336 for the past seven years. Survivors include her loving husband, Bill Kasmauski; four daughters: Kathy (Glenn) Kade of Conklin, Carol (Jack Jr.) Olthof of Ferrysburg, Patty (Chuck) Danielson of Fruitport, and Sharon Danicek of Grand Rapids; a son, Billy (Heather) Kasmauski, Jr. of Grand Haven; six grandchildren: Michael (Brenda) Cook, Kristin (Chris) Roberts, Sarah Jackson Kade, Samantha and Valery Danielson, and Allison Kasmauski; and two great-grandchildren, Cody and Kade Roberts. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Parker, and an infant brother, Leo Peacock.The Funeral Mass for Barbara will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake with Rev. Leonard Sudlik officiating. Friends may meet the family 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 27, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Girls State at the American Legion Post #28.
