Barbara Angela Gosma

Barbara Angela Gosma, 82, of Norton Shores, Michigan, went to her heavenly home on June 6, 2025 at home surrounded by family. Born on April 10, 1943, in Muskegon, Michigan, Barbara's life was a tapestry of love, faith, and dedication that left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Married to the love of her life, David, in 1964, Barbara was a devoted wife, cherished mother, and doting grandmother. Her faith was her guiding light to her kids and grandkids.

Barbara graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School in 1961. After attending beauty school early in life, Barbara eventually carved out a successful career as a sales professional with Vandervelde's, and then Art Van, where her charm and sincerity won the hearts of many colleagues and clients alike. Upon retiring, she loved spending time with her husband, singing in the choir at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, spending time with family, and creating many picture albums filled cherished memories for her family to look back on.

Her family was the cornerstone of her life, always showering them with love and support. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, David Gosma, and her beloved children: Robert, Bernard, Christopher, Andrea (Romeyn), Thomas, and Stacy (DeVisser). Her presence will also be deeply missed by her cherished 16 grandchildren, and 7 great grand children, who were the light of her life. She was also survived by nine siblings: Mike, Bernard, Marilyn, Joan, Carol, David, Judy, Tim, and Diane. Barbara was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas and Geneva Sass, and her brother, Roger Sass.

Barbara was a woman of faith, renowned for her generosity and kindness. Whether it was lending a listening ear, or offering a word of encouragement, she was always ready to help those in need, embodying a compassionate spirit to her community.

To honor Barbara's remarkable life, a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 18th, from 5 to 8:30 PM, at The Event Center at Fricano Place, specifically in The Loft Room, located at 1050 W. Western Suite 200, Muskegon, Michigan 49441.

All who knew and loved Barbara are welcome to join in sharing memories and celebrating the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. For those who wish to send flowers, please have them delivered to the address mentioned above so they can be displayed during the event.
