Barbara Margaret Fitzpatrick

Mrs. Barbara Margaret FitzPatrick, age 97, passed away Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. She was born October 23, 1910 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Helena (VanderPool) Kesteloot and moved to the Muskegon area as a child. On May 27, 1933, she married Raymond George FitzPatrick and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1991. Barbara was a life member of St. Mary Catholic Church and attended St. Mary's Catholic School. She was also a member of the Altar Society and the prayer line. SURVIVORS include 1 daughter, Helen J. Murray; 5 grandchildren, Kristi (Bob) Prinz, Vicki (Mark) Brown, MariBeth (Joe) Britt, Terry (Carol) Scofield, Patti (Robbie) Costner; 9 great-grandchildren, Stacy (Mark) Nowakowski, Ashley (Navi) Costner-Singh, Brittanie Prinz, Lindsey Costner, Ryan Britt, Samantha Scofield, Adam Prinz, Lucas Britt, and Nicole Prinz; 1 great-great-grandson, Logan Nowakowski; 1 sister, Helen Shannon; and many, many loving relatives and family friends. Along with her husband, Raymond, she was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Albert and Fred Kesteloot, and 3 sisters, Mildred Bisson, Rose Zwart, and Florence Nicolai. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, February 11, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Page presiding. INTERMENT will take place at St. Marys Cemetery. VISITATION with Barbara's family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey Street (231) 798-1100 The Rosary will be prayed at 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
