Barbara R. Couch COUCH, BARBARA R. Fredericksburg, VA Formerly of N. Muskegon Barbara Raulin Couch, 69, of Fredericksburg died Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the University of Virginia Health Systems. She was born March 7, 1936 in Michigan to the late Walter and Nellie Raulin and was preceded in death by a sister with whom she shared the same birthday, Judith K. Griswold. Barbara worked for the Foundation of the Carolina's in Charlotte, NC as an administrative assistant for many years and worked for the Fredericksburg Country Club part-time assisting her daughter, Elizabeth. Barbara was a wonderful cook and a gracious hostess. She loved birds and her favorite spot was Lake Michigan. Barbara's grandchildren were the love of her life. She is survived by her children, Robert T. Arntz, his wife, Linda and their son, Jonathan of Auburn Hills, MI and Elizabeth A. Arntz and her son, Benjamin of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Richard C. Raulin (Ruth) and David W. Raulin (Linda); three sisters, Margaret J. Curtis (Mel), Patricia A. Lange (Paul) and Nita L. Broome (Wendell) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very close friends. A Memorial Service will be held January 28, 2006, 1PM at First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Ash St., Mason, MI. In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
