Barbara J. Brown

Ms. Barbara Jean Brown, age 86, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on August 26, 1930 to Frank & Helen (Ruby) La Comte and was a 1949 graduate of Muskegon High School. Ms. Brown had been employed as a receptionist for Lakey Foundry for 23 years and retired from American Coil Spring after 20 years. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading and bowling. SURVIVORS Sisters-in-law, Dolly (JD) Driver & Anna Schneider; nephews, Dan La Comte & Rick (Linda) Scheerer; many nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dick La Comte and nephew, Steven La Comte. SERVICE Saturday, February 18, 2017, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Pastor John Brown officiating.
