Barbara J. Blamer

Mrs. Barbara J. Blamer, age 72, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at her home. She was born March 13, 1936 in Hart, MI to Ralph and Evelyn (Brimmer) Jacobs. She was a member of Orchard View Congregational Church and worked for Howmet for 23 years. Mrs. Blamer was an active member of the Community Service Programs with Howmet and was involved with mission trips to Mexico. She loved spending time with her family; especially camping up north. On September 29, 1953 she married Clifford Blamer in Hart, MI and he preceded her in death on November 25, 1991. She is survived by 4 children, Clifford Blamer of Muskegon, Dan (Rita) Blamer of Spring Lake, Gregory Blamer of Walkerville and Rodney Blamer of Muskegon, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Kenneth (Elnora) Jacobs and Steve (Deb) Ellis; 2 sisters, Mickey Carlson and Wynne (Bob) Maile. She was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Gregory, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. There will be a Luncheon Celebration, 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Orchard View Congregational Church. Memorial Contributions may be given to National Kidney Foundation and Harbor Hospice.
