With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Austin Jay Upson, age 24, passed away Monday September 15th 2025 due to injuries sustained from a car accident November 2024. He was born in Muskegon Michigan on September 26th 2000 to Sharon Huffman, and Robert Upson and was a life resident. Austin was in the prime of his life, he was an amazing son, brother, uncle, and friend. A true force of nature who lived life to the fullest. Known for his non judgmental spirit and confident demeanor, Austin approached every situation with quick wit and a big heart. He was the life of the party, bringing energy and laughter wherever he went.

Austin was an entrepreneur at heart, always on the grind and unafraid to pursue his dreams. He was incredibly persuasive, turning ideas into reality with his unwavering determination. Austin cherished his relationships and was always there for those he cared about. Dependable, honest, he always said what was on his mind, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Austin's passions included bowling, working out, and cooking (when we actually got him to cook), reflecting his zest for life and commitment to personal well-being. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us to live each day with the same enthusiasm and dedication. He will be dearly missed.

Austin leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication. He touched the lives of many with his impeccable personality. Austin is survived by Mom Sharon Huffman Dad Robert Upson, siblings Robert Upson 2nd, Brian Huffman, Casey Upson, Hayley Upson, Angel Upson, and Best brother in law David Slocum. Nieces/Nephews, Jazmine Upson, Ryker Huffman, Langston Rowan, Layla Upson, Silas Huffman, and Xander Upson, and Grandma Lois Flater. Very special Aunt and Uncle, Cousins, and special friend Shelbi Palsrok, who will continue to honor his memory. He was preceded in death by Grandpa Gerry Huffman SR., Grandma Sharon Upson, and Uncle Gerry Huffman JR.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at Fruitport Eagles #3666. 3354 S Dangl Rd, Muskegon MI 49444 231-777-3044 Between 2-6.
