He was born July 3, 1955 in Grand Haven, MI to August & Mary Garbrecht, Sr. & married the former Margaret ''Peggy'' Benham on Aug. 3, 1991 in West Olive, MI. Mr. Garbrecht had been a high-low driver for more than 30 years at Black River Pallet Co. in Zeeland, MI. He loved deer hunting, fishing, campfires & the outdoors. Survivors: Wife, Peggy; parents; August & Mary Garbrecht of West Olive, MI; grandmother, Lena DuShane of Grand Haven, MI; 2 stepsons, Richard fiancee, Amber Bailey VanVoorst Jr. of Allendale, MI & Gerald Joyce VanVoorst of Ludington, MI; 3 grandchildren, Jestica, Tanya & Trevor; 4 sisters; Mary Art Hoek of Zeeland, MI; Sally Norm Smith of West Olive, MI, Diane Thedford of Lansing, MI & Karen Roger Helder of Hamilton, MI; brother, Gary Garbrecht of Holland, MI; many aunts, uncles & cousins. Service: Wednesday, November 13, 2002, 2:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Stephenson officiating. Interment at Lakeshore Cemetery.
