STAFFORD, MRS. AUDREY M. Grand Haven On February 11, 1922 God sent an angel to earth, Mrs. Audrey M. Stafford. She held hands, swayed to the music and gave kisses to the end. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan to John and Gladys Cleveland Peteyanas and married Nathan Carl Stafford on January 17, 1942 at Bryan, Ohio. Mrs. Stafford had been employed as a Production Worker at Amazon Garment Mill and Continental Motors. She had attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Her interests included reading, cooking, playing cards, and laughing and visiting with family and friends. We loved her to death. SURVIVORS Son, Garth Stafford of Grand Haven; 2 daughters, Carol John Wheeler of New Mexico and Mary Pat Smith of Montague, MI; 5 Grandchildren, Dierdre, Marty, Katie, Logan and Charlie; one great grandson, Chad; 2 sisters, Ardis Jansiewicz of North Muskegon and Barbara Beck of Muskegon; one brother, John Peteyanas of North Muskegon; also several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Nathan Carl Stafford, her parents and a brother Gordon Peteyanas. SERVICE Thursday, June 3, 2004, 5:00 PM at Christ Community Church with Rev. Peter Theune officiating. MEMORIAL: Audrey M. Stafford Scholarship Fund through Strive. Following the service, a reception will be held at Jack's of Holiday Inn, Spring Lake.
