Audrey Jean Beard

Audrey Jean Beard, age 79, entered into her end of life journey on May 11, 2008. Audrey was born to Albert and Bernita (Dravis) Sander on April 27, 1929, in Waukon, Iowa as the youngest of three, with two older brothers. Audrey began her career in Washington D.C. with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and retired from Bank One (Bank of Indiana) in Gary, IN. Audrey shared her love of life with her sons, William "Bill" and Julie Horton Beard of Chapel Hill, NC and Scott and Janell Beard of Whitehall, MI; along with her special companions, Fancy, Sassy, Sally Ann and Zoe Marie. Upon retirement, Audrey made her home in Whitehall, living her passion for gardening and fishing, where she was the impetus of laughter with everyone she encountered. Audrey was a passionate sports fan, and remained loyal to the Chicago Bulls and Bears. A private Celebration of Life ceremony will be held by the family in the near future.
