Mr. Arthur Ramirez, age 72, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and Coopersville Bronco football fan, was reunited with his parents, relatives, and friends who preceded him into his Heavenly Father's paradise on Thursday August 9, 2007. Arthur is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marion; children, Barb (Richard) Colgan, Maria Harker, Marvin Ramirez, and Anita (Carl) Berg; nine grandchildren, Monica, Kenny, Kristen, Kaitlin, Gabriella, Matthew, Alex, Linnea, and Aleigha; brothers, John (Annette) Ramirez and Tony (Minnie) Ramirez; sisters, Margret (Bill) Roberts, Fran (Garth) Wambaugh, Jane (Mike) Purcell, and Gloria (Ron) Medema; and many nieces and nephews. Arthur loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching them grow and was looking forward to the birth of his first great-granddaughter. Arthur was proud of his service in the U.S. Navy upon the destroyer, the USS Boyd. Arthur loved Coopersville football and attended the Broncos' games as much as his health permitted. Throughout his life he blessed the lives of those who knew him with his sense of humor. He enriched the lives of his cherished family with his unconditional love and fun loving demeanor. In Arthur's final years he faced much adversity in the form of health complications. He faced them bravely with determination and maintained his infectious humor. In his final years, he taught his family and friends much. His final legacy he taught them all was....Never give up and endure to the end. Funeral Services will be Monday, 11:00 am, at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church St., Coopersville with Brother Dave Murray officiating. Burial is in Maplewood Cemetery, Lamont.
