Mr Arthur Emmet Michaelsen, age 95, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024. He was born in Chicago, IL on March 7, 1929 to Milton & Pearl (Johnson) Michaelsen and married the former Donna Erickson on December 2, 1950. Arthur served his country in The US Navy shortly after WWII in the Aleutian Islands. In his early years he worked as the caretaker for Camp Wabaningo and then the Owasippe Scout Reservation. Eventually Art became a Journeyman Plumber for Meyer Plumbing in Montague and also at many different factories and construction sites during the years. He really enjoyed singing and performed in the in PTA Showboat back in the 70's where he sang the song If I Were a Rich Man from Fiddler on the Roof and the song Candyman. Arthur will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

wife of 73 years Donna Michaelsen; daughter Linda (Terry Rice) Michaelsen; grandchildren, RaShonda (Brian Spencer) Landis, Emily Zack, Rachel (Rory) Baatz, Christopher (Danyell) Michaelsen, Starr (Michael) Tremore, Max Michaelsen, Fritz Michaelsen; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son Donald Michaelsen.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE
A Celebration of Arthur's life will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Whitehall American Legion Algot Johnson Post 69 with Jim Tannis officiating. Interment in Oakhurst Cemetery. Please visit www.clockfuneralhome.com to leave a memory or sign the online guestbook.
