FREEMAN, MR. ARTHUR L. ''ART'' Norton Shores Mr. Arthur L. ''Art'' Freeman, age 72, went home to be with his best friend and Savior for Eternity on Tuesday, August 17, 2004. Art was born in Muskegon, MI on February 29, 1932 to Chester and Anna Freeman in Muskegon, MI & married Sarah Sally Hamilton on August 8, 1953 in Muskegon, MI. Mr. Freeman served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was owner of Ar-Jer's Clothing for 32 years until his retirement in 1992. In his retirement he continued his sales career at JcPenney. Over the years Art served on the board of Central Assembly of God, Teen Challenge of Muskegon, Youth for Christ, and was a member of many other boards and committees. He attended Forest Park Covenant Church, enjoyed traveling, gardening, people, but foremost was his family. SURVIVORS Wife, Sally; 2 sons, Trever Sue Freeman of South Haven & Michael Freeman of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Sharon David Swierpel of Flint & Stacey Karl Krautheim of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren, Angela, Paul, Austin, Annie, Chris & Justin; 2 sisters, Barbara Larry Wheeler of Cadillac, MI & Margie Rich Lower of Muskegon; 2 brothers, Robert Lois Freeman of Muskegon & Jack Charlene Freeman of Muskegon; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Freeman of CA; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents & by a brother, Chester. SERVICE Saturday, August 21, 2004, 10:30 AM at Forest Park Covenant Church with Pastor Jonathan Rager officiating.
