Mr. Arnold Westphal, age 88, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014. He was born in Whitehall, Michigan on February 24, 1926 to Earl & Pearl (Fordham) Westphal and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He married the former Mildred Hoyum on November 23, 1950 and worked at S.D. Warren for 45 years until retiring. He was a former member of the Lakeside Eagles and enjoyed collecting coins. SURVIVORS Wife Mildred; sons, Jerry (Bernie) Westphal, David (Deanne) Westphal; daughter, Nancy (Fred) VanderLaan; grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan & Bethany VanderLaan, Phillip Crill, Joshua Westphal; brother, Paul (June) Westphal; many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
