Arloa Merz

Mrs. Arloa E. Merz, age 86, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014. She was born in Owosso, MI on August 12, 1927 to Charles & Helen (Allendorfe) Thompson and married George Merz. Mrs. Merz had been employed as a laborer at Cooper Air & Tool for years until retiring in 1982. Arloa enjoyed puzzles, gardening, needle point and cleaning her house. SURVIVORS Children, Charles (Amy) Vokal of MN, Diane (Kenneth) Zarzecki of Grand Haven, George (Inez) Merz of Freesoil; grandchildren, Vikki (Dean) Stolp, Shelly (Wiley) Davis, Chris (Jan) Vokal, Kelly (Jim) Leonard, Kim (Bob) Jozwiak, Jon (Lori) Curry, Brian (Heather) Zarzecki, Kevin Zarzecki, Darin Zarzecki, Carrie Vanslooten, Dana Merz, George (Christian) Merz Jr.; son-in-law, John Curry of Freesoil; 19 great grandchildren; special friend, James Green. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Claudia Curry; brother, Charles Thompson; sister, June Warber; grandson-in-law, Josh Vanslooten. SERVICE A Private Service will be held.
