Arlene Gallup

Mrs. Arlene M. Gallup, age 93, passed away May 28, 2016. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on July 5, 1922 to Lloyd and Pearl Westover. On May 15, 1942, she married Marshall Gene Gallup. Arlene worked in office positions at Sealed Power, Continental Motors, and the City of Norton Shores. She was a volunteer at Hackley Hospital for 31 years, loved to read, golf, play bridge, and most of all, she enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family. Arlene was a longtime member of Temple United Methodist Church. SURVIVORS Son, James (Ineke) Gallup of Grand Haven; daughters, Janet (Dan) Pitcher of Norton Shores, Marlene Gallup of Norton Shores; grandchildren, Beth (Steve) Dougherty, Vanessa (Mike) Happel, Jeffrey Gallup, Erika (Ruben) Barahona, Kris Joesel, Courtney Joesel; great grandchildren, Chris, Emily, Ethan, Stefanie, Madeline, Sydney; brother-in-law, Robert (Terry) Gallup; sister-in-law, Jean Gallup. She was preceded in death by husband, Marshall Gene Gallup; sisters, Dorothy June Emerson, Marilyn Jean Brash; grandson, Branden James Hesse; brothers-in-law, Robert Emerson, Curtis Brash, Lewis Gallup, Gerald Gallup; sister-in-law, Marion Gallup. SERVICE Wednesday, June 1, 2016, 10:30 am with visitation 1 hour prior at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon. Interment in Restlawn Cemetery.
