BATES, MRS. ARLENE M. Norton Shores Mrs. Arlene M. Bates, age 87, died Thursday, July 6, 2006. She was born October 9, 1918 in Cartersiding, MI to Oscar & Alice (Eddy) Snyder & married Jason Lorenzo Bates in 1951, in Muskegon. He preceded her in death in 1997. Arlene enjoyed crossword puzzles & drawing. She devoted her life to her family. SURVIVORS 2 sons, Robbin Bates of Hastings, MI & Terry Bates of North Muskegon; 1 daughter, Linda (Mike) Agerstrand of Cloverville; 3 grandchildren, Michael John & Elizabeth Bates, Zachary Taylor-Nelson Agerstrand; 1 great grandson, Jason Bates; 2 sisters, Joyce (Harry) Weinert of Norton Shores & Mary Kuncaitis of Norton Shores; 1 brother, Arvid (Tammy) Snyder of Roosevelt Park. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Harvey & Glenn Snyder; 1 sister, Fern Smack. SERVICE Monday, July 10, 2006, 2:00 PM, at the Clock Chapel with Pastor Bill Rudd officiating. VISITATION Monday, 1 hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL: Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana or to the family.
