Ardith Scholten

Mrs. Ardith "June" Scholten, age 85, died Monday, March 19, 2007 in Grand Haven. She was born on February 8, 1922 in Colfax, Twp., MI to Perle Walter and Sarah Almenda (Martin) Bromley, and had resided in the West Michigan area all her life. Mrs. Scholten loved reading and crafts. On June 8, 1940 she married Albert Scholten in Conklin, MI and he preceded her in death on November 23, 1995. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Ardith Lee (Robert) Kooi of Ravenna, and Patricia Ann (George) Stahl of Spring Lake; 4 grandchildren, Robert D. Kooi, Ronald L. Kooi, Julie Ann O'Kelly, Patti Jo DeHeer; 6 great grandchildren, Nicholas Holmes, Christopher O'Kelly, Megan O'Kelly, Kelli Kooi, Kathi Kooi, and Emma O'Kelly; brother, William (Emily) Bromley of Newaygo, MI; and sister, Juanita (Lyle) Hansen. She was also preceded in death by her parents, great granddaughter, Amanda; sister, Virginia Sugarbaker; brother, Joseph Bromley. SERVICES will be 2 PM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Peter Yoshonis officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
