Anthony Nastase Jr.

Anthony "Tony" Nastase Jr., age 68, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, September 19, 2012 after a 6 year courageous battle with cancer. He was a very strong man who never complained about his life struggles. He was born in Lincoln, NE on May 18, 1944. He graduated from Reese Puffer High School where he was an outstanding athlete. He received his BA from Ferris State University in Business Education and worked towards his Masters in Education at Michigan State University where he continued to be MSU's #1 fan. His greatest passion was in serving as a teacher and coach for many years. He then entered the sales force and was employed as a Regional Sales Manager at Kemps Dairy. He was known as the "Ice Cream Grandpa!!!" He enjoyed life to the fullest and it was evident when he was with his family, hunting at his cabin, cooking his Italian food, always taking care of others and being a loyal friend. He will be greatly missed by many! The family would like to thank Dr. Zakem and team and Faith Hospice. SURVIVORS He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Candace (Kramer); his children, Melissa (Vincent) Prochilo, Nanci (Patrick) Dalton; grandchildren, Gabriela, Vincent, Francesca & Olivia Prochilo, Rylie, Ty, Regan & Maxwell Dalton; mother, Elsie Nastase-Mullen; his sisters, Suzanne (Archie) Potter, Mary Jo (Terry) Bailey: his brothers Lloyd (Maria) Nastase, Roger Nastase; and sisters-in-law, Marianne (Gene) Hathaway, Kristine Kramer-Wiethoff, Dee Kramer; and brother-in-law, Robert (Mary) Kramer; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony; step father John Mullen; in-laws, Louis (Lois) Kramer and brother-in-law Randall Kramer. MEMORIAL SERVICE Friday, September 28, 2012, 2:00 PM at Calvary Church of Fruitport with Rev. Dr. William J. Rudd officiating.
