Anthony was born to Griffetta Evans Jones and Anthony Armstrong Jones Sr. on May 19, 1991. Anthony was a free-spirited man full of life who loved to travel. He was full of adventure. To know Anthony was to love him. He had a smile that was not only infectious, but also contagious. He loved God and being a deacon of his church. Anthony also loved to read, go on walks, and listen to music. However, the pride, joy, and greatest accomplishment of Anthony's life was the birth of his daughter, Maliyah Amierah Joyce Vaughen (5 years old). Anthony loved his family more than anything. He had a special relationship with anyone who knew him. Anthony was caring, loving, and kind. He was everything affiliated with love and smiling.

Daughter: Maliyah Amierah Joyce Vaughen; Parents: Griffetta Evans Jones (Vernard Jones) and Anthony Jones Sr.; Grandmother: Annie Mae Turnipseed; Grandfather: Griffin Lewis; Sisters: Sheena Jones, Toni Jones, TaQuila Payne; Stepsisters: Chrishonne (Donald) Porter, Tiffany Rushin, Shakela Noble, Brion (Mark) Walker, Nacarra Jones; Stepbrothers: Vernario Jones, Vernatis Jones, Andre Payne, Greg Barnes, Torrey Jones, TyQuan Jones and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; Special cousins: Deshawn Jones, Davontea Evans, AlQuan Evans. He was preceded in death by his great-great grandmother, Lillie Mae Cole, grandmother, Christine McKentry, grandfathers, Melvin Evans and Charles Jones, uncles, Chuck Jones and Greg Jones, and aunts, Theresa Jones and Kim Evans.

SERVICE

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, 12:00pm, at Clock Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Hough officiating. Interment in Mona View Cemetery. A repass will follow immediately after burial.
