Annella Louise
Spring Lake, Michigan
Annella Louise Graves, age 97, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025. She was born in New York, NY on October 25, 1927 to Pasquale & Louise (DeMartino) Romano and married Marshall Graves on January 7, 1967. Annella had worked as a teller supervisor at Security First Bank in Grand Haven and later at St. Jean's Catholic Church. She had been a member at St. Jean's Catholic Church and Sacred Heart in Muskegon and then at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake. She served as a lector and eucharistic minister and was an active volunteer at church. Annella was also a fundraiser chairman for the American Cancer Society in Muskegon.
Annella and Marshall enjoyed traveling and particularly enjoyed the annual Savings and Loan Meeting at Mackinac Island. They also loved to go dancing, and were charter members of the West Shore Jazz Society, which was responsible for bringing Dixieland jazz concerts to town each year. Annella was a gracious hostess, always displaying warmth and caring to family, friends and guests. She loved out loud and always remembered people with cards and gifts. Her greatest joy was when the family was all together, taking pictures and sharing a meal. Her absence will long be felt by everyone she touched.
