Anna Stone

Anna Selina Stone went to be with her Heavenly Father, on April 25, 2007. She was born on April 23, 1925 in Bitely, to the late Morris and Sarah (Smith) Maynard. Anna was a member of Cloverville Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, and especially her grandchildren. She had been a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Drive at Fruitport Eagles where she had been a member. Anna was also a member of the VFW for over 50 years, and the Holton American Legion for the past 19 years. She had so many special friends and loved spending time with her family and grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren. On November 6, 1939, she married Olin J. Gilbert, they had three children Barb (Bob) McGruther, Carlton (Carol) Gilbert and Darlene (Louie) Jasick Jr. and later married Allen Stone and was preceded in death by both Olin and Allen. Anna is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; 5 brothers, Leo Maynard, Art (Peggy) Brandt, Merritt (Linda) Brandt, Jr., LeRoy (Pat) Brandt, and Leon (Donna) Brandt; 5 sisters, Mary Mooney, Virginia Winchell, Audrey Smith, Betty (Roger) Briggs and Marcella (Don) Homfeld. Along with her husbands, Anna was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lucy Kulesza, and Alice Brandt, 3 brothers, Orval and Carl Maynard, and Cleon Brandt, a wonderful step-father, Merritt Brandt, and a grandson, Tommy Jasick. Funeral Services will be held at Fellowship Reformed Church, 4200 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at Ever Rest Funeral Home on Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Interment Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cloverville Baptist Church or Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice.
