Mrs. Angie Cornelia Genter, age 84, went to be with her Lord Friday afternoon, September 26, 2008. She was born June 9, 1924 in Muskegon, to Henry and Clara (Achterhoff )TerBorg. On January 4, 1946 Angie married Wallace M. Genter in Muskegon, and he survives her. Angie was employed as a switchboard operator at Hackley Hospital for 30 years prior to retiring in 1997. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was active in the Naomi Circle, and prior to that, the former First Reformed Church. Angie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wallace; 2 daughters, Gloria (Andrew )VanderMolen of Muskegon and Wanda Genter of Muskegon; a son-in-law Michael Jones of Bement, IL; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Kramer of Muskegon; 2 brothers, John (Phyllis) Terborg of Baltimore, MD and Louis (Ernestine) TerBorg of Daytona Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Jones; foster son, James Kuipers; grandson, Aaron Jones; great-grandson, Xander White, 2 sisters, Sadie Klotz and Edith Posthumus; and a brother, Clarence TerBorg. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church (1070 S. Quarterline Rd.) with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION will be Monday, 5-8 PM at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave 231-726-5210 Burial will be made in Oakwood Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
