Mr. Andrew J. Dykema, age 86, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010. He was born in Muskegon, MI on February 10, 1924 to John & Wilhelmina (VanderMolen) Dykema and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He married the former Louise Buit on February 28, 1969. Mr. Dykema had been employed as a Metallurgist at Cannon Muskegon Corp. for 28 years until retiring in 1982. He was a member of Unity Reformed Church, Y's Men, and served as deacon at First Reformed Church. SURVIVORS Wife of 41 years, Louise; daughter, Denise (John) Combs of Casco, MI; son, Marc (Keri) Dykema of Kalamazoo; cute granddaughters, Megan & Rachel; brothers, Nicholas (Mary) Dykema of N. Muskegon, Adrian (Elizabeth) Dykema of NC; sister, Vivian (Carl) Krause of MA; sister-in-law, Cork Dykema of Holland. He was preceded in death by his brother, James & sister-in-law, Shirley Dykema. SERVICE Friday, July 2, 2010, 2:00 PM at Unity Reformed Church with Chaplain James Johnson officiating. Interment at Norton Cemetery.
