Amelia Witt Lafferty

LAFFERTY, MRS. AMELIA (WITT) Norton Shores Mrs. Amelia (Witt) Lafferty, age 96, died Sunday, August 27, 2006. She was born in Muskegon, MI on September 25, 1909 to Henry R. & Anna (Raas) Witt and married Gerald Lafferty in 1929. Mrs. Lafferty was in partnership with her husband Gerald, operating New Philadelphia Industrial Supply in Ohio. Amelia was also a member of the first graduating class of Muskegon High School. She enjoyed oil painting. SURVIVORS 2 sons, Gerald J. (Margaret) Lafferty, Jr. of Muskegon, James (Marguerite) Lafferty of CA; 10 grandchildren, Diane (Michael) Wright, Gerald J. Lafferty III, Donna (Eric) Thompson, Michael G. Lafferty, James (Ellie) Lafferty, Jr., Peggy-Sue (Frank) Belcher, Kathleen (Stephan) DeBolt; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Harriet) Witt; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 67 years, Gerald J. Lafferty Sr. in 1998. SERVICE A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 2 PM at Seminole Shores Living Center. MEMORIAL: Hackley VNS Hospice House.
