Alyce Huss

Mrs. Alyce Dianne Huss, age 72, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born January 12, 1935 in Muskegon to Robert and Evelyn (Linderman) Wolford and had lived her entire life in the area. On May 16, 1953, she married Gordon "Gordy" Huss in Muskegon and he survives her. Alyce was an accomplished quilter and had won numerous awards for her quilting work. She was very proud to have been invited to compete in Paducah, Kentucky, during her lifetime. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and had also been active in the Cursillo Movement since the 1970's. Along with her husband, Gordy, she is also survived by 3 children, Sue (Jeff) Ramseyer, Rob (Julie) Huss, Shelley Huss-Innis; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Bryan Huss (1975); 1 daughter, Linda St. Amour (2006); 1 grandson, her parents and 3 sisters. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, May 18, 2007, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson as celebrant. INTERMENT will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION with Alyce's family will be 5-8 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass, 10-11 AM Friday at the church.
