Alyce Fern Arnouts, age 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering strength, deep love, and selfless devotion to her family and friends. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend-truly one of a kind
Born on January 18, 1967, in Muskegon, MI, Alyce gracefully navigated life with a vibrant spirit and a nurturing heart that touched everyone she encountered. She was a devoted daughter to Robert and Marian (Ferrier) Canfield and grew up in a loving family in Muskegon, where she was a member of the Orchard View High School Class of 1985.
On September 10, 1983, Alyce married her soulmate and high school sweetheart, Todd Arnouts, with whom she shared 42 years of love, partnership, and countless cherished memories. They built a family that became her greatest pride. Alyce was a dedicated mother to her three daughters: Tammy (Aron) Cross, Lora (Jacob) Rettinhouse, and Alex Arnouts, all of whom brought her immeasurable joy and happiness. As a grandmother to five grandchildren: Sophie, Tylar, Chase, Caydence, and Brennan, Alyce's love will live on through the generations. She is also survived by her mother, Marian Colligan; mother-in-law, Judy Arnouts; brothers, Brian (Joy) Proctor, Shawn (Rose) Canfield, and Robert Canfield; as well as numerous relatives and friends who adored her. Alyce was preceded in death by her father, Robert Canfield, and her brother, Jim Canfield.
Alyce dedicated her professional life to serving as an office manager, ultimately completing her career in the payroll department at Meijer. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she embraced her passions for line dancing, arts and crafts, and writing. Her untold stories captivated her spirit as she creatively shared her short novels and children's books on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, leaving behind a rich tapestry of creativity and self-expression.
Known for her courage and grace, Alyce faced life's challenges as a true fighter. Always putting others first, she offered unwavering support and love to everyone around her, embodying resilience and compassion. Her legacy is one of kindness, and she will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A memorial gathering will be held to honor Alyce's life on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
