Alvirty G. Traxler Sr. TRAXLER, MR. ALVIRTY G. "BERT", SR. Husband of Shirley Muskegon Mr. Alvirty G. "Bert" Traxler, Sr., age 77, died Tuesday morning, January 3, 2006. He was born April 4, 1928 in Muskegon to Harry and Alta (Fields) Traxler, and lived in the Muskegon area for most of his life, except for 10 years in the Hart area. Mr. Traxler was a U.S. Army Veteran. He loved woodworking and detailing cars. SURVIVORS include his wife, Shirley; 4 children, George (Cathy) Traxler of FL, Alvirty Traxler, Jr. of Pentwater, Ruthann (Steven) Baker of Hart, Craig (Sandra) Traxler of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, David (Anna Ruth) Traxler of FL, Lindsie Traxler of Muskegon; brother, Earl Traxler I of Muskegon; sister, Jean (William) Guilford of Spring Lake; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Lawrence and Bryan Traxler; and sister, Rose Erickson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Muskegon/Oceana.
