Allen Swiftney

SWIFTNEY, MR. ALLEN Grand Haven Mr. Allen Swiftney, age 84, died Monday, March 28, 2005 at ShoreHaven Living Center. He was born in Spring Lake, on November 6, 1920 to John & Nora Teunis Swiftney and married the former Betty Forrest on June 24, 1949, she preceded him in death one month ago. He served his country in WWII. Mr. Swiftney had been a sheet metal worker at Bastian Blessing for 25 years until retiring. He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church and enjoyed his league bowling, hunting and golf. SURVIVORS Son, Charles "Chuck" Swiftney ; granddaughter , Anita Self of TN; sister, Eleanor Bill Vincent; many nieces & nephews. Mr. Swiftney was preceded in death by his sisters, Gert, Clara, and Henrietta; also a brother, John. SERVICE 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Clock Funeral Home, Grand Haven with Rev. John Koedyker officiating. Interment at Spring Lake Cemetery. VISITATION One hour prior to the service at the funeral home. MEMORIAL: American Cancer Society.
