Allen Edgar Moore

MOORE, MR. ALLEN EDGAR Fruitport Mr. Allen E. Moore, age 73, died Monday, May 17, 2004. He was born in N. Crockery Township, Michigan on August 10, 1930 to Paul & Etta Brook Moore and married the former Clara Zimmerman on December 11, 1953 in Spring Lake. Mr. Moore had been employed as a Custodian at Fruitport Public Schools until retiring in 1991 and also worked part-time at Orchard Foods as the ''Flower Man''. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport, a life member of Amvets and former chaplain, a member of FFA and was avid gardener. SURVIVORS Wife, Clara; son, Paul Joyce Moore of Grand Haven; daughter, Gloria Joe Schmitt of Fruitport; 3 grandsons, Nicholas, Devon, Ryan Moore; 1 great grandson, Joshua Moore; 2 sisters, June Bird of Muskegon, Pauline Shear of Spring Lake; 2 brothers, Gordon Moore of Grand Haven, Jim Joyce Moore of Jenison. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Moore who died in France during WWII. SERVICE Wednesday, May 19, 2004, 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport with Pastor Steve Worth officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Tuesday, 6-9 PM at Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport. MEMORIAL: Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport Memorial Fund. Clock - Fruitport
