Aliece Turgeon Profile Photo

Mrs. Aliece Bernadine Turgeon, widow of Arthur Turgeon, passed into new life on July 2, 2010. Born to William and Minnie Eitenier on April 4, 1925 in Ludington, MI, Aliece left her family's Freesoil farm for new adventures in Muskegon in 1943. Not long after arriving in Muskegon, Aliece married Arthur "Archie" Turgeon and began making a family. Aliece was a diligent worker, a trait she acquired growing up on a farm. She held jobs at the Muskegon Chronicle and The Tannery before her marriage. After her youngest had grown, she worked for Elston-Richards Allied Moving Company and retired as a case worker for Michigan's Department of Social Service in 1985. Archie and Aliece were very active in Square Dancing clubs throughout the area and loved to spend weekends camping with their children. Aliece loved her family very much as well as her church, First Lutheran, where she was active in Altar Guild, Bethel Series and various circles. Aliece loved to read, knit and crochet. After retirement, Aliece and Archie spent their winters in the south making many new friends along the way.
