WIERDA, MRS. ALICE L. Muskegon, MI Mrs. Alice L. Wierda, age 91, died Thursday, June 26, 2003 at home. She was born in Moorland Township, MI on July 22, 1911 to Fred & Edna Maycroft VanBergen & married Peter Wierda in Muskegon on November 25, 1931. Until retirement she had been employed at several local insurance agencies including Chaddock, Winter & Alberts. She was an active member of Fifth Reformed Church & served as President & past secretary at Cornerstone. SURVIVORS Son, Richard Edythe Wierda of Muskegon, MI; 1 daughter, Janice James Pomeroy of Muskegon, MI; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great great- grandchildren; 1 brother, Anthony VanBergen of Muskegon, MI; brother-in-law, Nathan Moser of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Joyce VanBergen of Fremont, MI; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter in 1966 & by several brothers & sisters. SERVICE Monday, June 30, 2003, 1:00 PM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Norman Swier officiating.
