Alice L. De Weese

Ms. Alice Louise De Weese, age 93, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. She was born in Rush City, MN on November 16, 1925 to Clair & Ruth (Wiseman) Shuey and was a Cadet Corp. graduate of the Abbott School of Nursing. Alice had been employed as a Registered Nurse for Riverside Nursing Home and Shorehaven Nursing Home for over 50 years until retiring. Alice was a member of Grand Haven Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed her faith and always her family. She will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Sons, Dr. Stephen De Weese of Thailand, Dr. Paul De Weese of Lansing, David De Weese of Allendale, Daniel De Weese of Allendale; daughters, Ruth Abramowitz of New York, Roberta (Steve) Kautz of Idaho; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Rob (Virginia) Shuey; sisters, Pat (Butch) Stenmo, Diane Strom, Mary Lou Johnson; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond and sister, Phyllis. SERVICE Saturday, May 25, 2019, 2:00 PM with visitation one half hour prior to the service at Grand Haven Seventh Day Adventist Church with Elder Lewis Anderson officiating.
