Alice Lowden

Mrs. Alice R. Lowden, age 88, died Saturday, October 15, 2011. She was born in Muskegon on March 24, 1923 to Ruben & Sallie (Bailey) Hildreth and married Eugene Lowden on January 20, 1942. Mrs. Lowden had been a homemaker and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and bingo. She also loved the outdoors and spent time hunting and gardening. SURVIVORS Daughter, Muriel Carlson of Twin Lake; son, Wayne (Judith) Lowden of North Muskegon; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ruby Hildreth, Majorie Stauffer; many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; daughter, Sally Jean; sister, Esther; brother, Albert "Buddy". SERVICE Tuesday, October 18, 2011, 1:00 PM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Ken Shady officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Tuesday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
