Alice Lawie

Mrs. Alice M. Lawie, age 95, died Monday, February 28, 2011. She was born in Kalkaska, MI on March 23, 1916 to Clayton & Cora (Elwell) King and married George Lawie on August 28, 1943. Mrs. Lawie had been employed as a Claims Representative at the Social Security Administration for 20 years until retiring in 1977. She was a member of the North Muskegon Community United Methodist Church, Women of the Moose #344, Muskegon Eagles Auxiliary #668, and the Muskegon Township Senior Bridge Club. Alice loved to golf, play bingo & card games. SURVIVORS Brother, Joseph (Shirley) King of CA; several nieces & nephews; special friends & caregivers, Tom & Carol Ammon. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1987; brothers, Darrell & Buster King; sisters, Doris Cochran, Clara Meyers. SERVICE Saturday, March 5, 2011, 11:00 AM at Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Lynch officiating. MEMORIAL: Community United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice.
