Alice Gifford

Mrs. Alice E. Gifford, age 81, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011. She was born in Fennville, MI on October 1, 1929 to Nathan & Mattie (Hoffman) Morey. Mrs. Gifford had been employed as a bookkeeper at Peerless Plating for several years until retiring. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the VFW, and Fruitport Eagles, where she was an auditor for many years and volunteered for a number of fund raisers. Alice was an avid bowler and golfer who loved her lottery tickets. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. SURVIVORS Sister, Florence Butts of Grand Rapids; several nieces & nephews; stepson, Tom (Patti) Gifford of Oregon; special friends, Ann Fortenbacher of Grand Haven, Lori Kowitz & Holly Merkins of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers & 4 sisters. MEMORIAL GATHERING Wednesday, September 7, 2011, 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at the Fruitport Eagles.
