Alice M. Devette

DEVETTE, MRS. ALICE MAE (widow of Charles) Muskegon Mrs. Alice M. DeVette, age 101, died Thursday, October 5, 2006. She was born in Chamberlain, SD on August 20, 1905 to Nicholas & Mabel (Bascom) Miller and married Charles DeVette on October 7, 1935. Mrs. DeVette had been a resident of Muskegon nearly all her adult life and had been a part-time employee of Hardy-Herpolsheimers. She was a member of Central Reformed Church in Muskegon and was one of the first residents of Nelson Place. SURVIVORS Son, Charles (Barbara) DeVette of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Charlene M. (David P.) Borgeson of Grand Ledge & New Era, Judi Horan of Grand Rapids; 9 grandchildren, Cheryl Borgeson of Ludington, David J. (Kathleen) Borgeson of Gaylord, Marla (Greg) Mohr of East Lansing, Amy (Blase) Vitello of Big Rapids, Vicky (Greg) McNiece of Grand Haven, Joe Grzybowski of Grand Rapids, Chris (Karen) DeVette of San Ramon, CA, Jason DeVette of Muskegon, and Kathy (Joe) Link of Muskegon; 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 14, 1984. SERVICE Monday, October 9, 2006, 3:00 PM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Tim Vanderhaar officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery.
