COLE, MRS. ALICE Muskegon, MI Mrs. Alice Cole, age 96, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2003. She was born in Muskegon, MI on December 22, 1906 to Edward & Grace Flokersma Hughes & married Julian Cole in Muskegon, MI on June 21, 1924. Alice was a homemaker & her family, friends & church were her life. Alice was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for many years & most recently attended Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. SURVIVORS 2 daughters, Beverley Bernard Workman & Grace Gunnard Johnson, both of Muskegon, MI; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Cole of Wyoming, MI; 11 grandchildren, Gene Penny Workman, Jon Cathy Workman, Dianne Tom Young, Douglas Linda Workman, Jeffrey Lori Johnson, James Nancy Johnson, Julianne Gayl Beals, Edward Cole Jr., Thomas Joni Cole, Debra Larry Reed & Cheryl Tony Spoer; several great-grandchildren & great great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jennie Ohlman & Minnie Wheeler; a special friend, Candy Workman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Julian; 2 sons, Julian, Jr. & Edward Cole; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Cole; 3 sisters, Helen Hill, Edna Gillette & Katy Bednar. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, May 3, 2003, 11:00 AM at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church with Pastor Cynthia Skutar officiating. MEMORIAL: Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana or Memorial Fund for Lake Harbor United Methodist Church.
