Mr. Alfred E. Fetters, age 86, died Monday, June 16, 2008. He was born in Hart, MI on November 10, 1921 to Evart & Hazel (Cargill) Fetters. He served his country in the US Navy as Navy Intelligence. Mr. Fetters was a master plumber and had been employed as a Journeyman Machinist at Teledyne Continental Motors for 36 years until retiring in 1993. He was a member of the VFW Post #446, Muskegon Lions, American Legion and was an avid hunter & fisherman. Red enjoyed gardening, wine making, the outdoors & his dog, Patty. But foremost was always his family. SURVIVORS Son, Rodney (Hilda) Fetters of Muskegon; daughters, Sharon (John) Stiegemeier of Alto MI, Nancy (Dale) Beach of Riverdale MI, Margie (Don) Fisher-Hallwood of Muskegon, Mary Jane (Jerry Knoll) Rockey of Muskegon; grandchildren, Brian, Sarah, Shaun, Brett, Nicholas, Marilyn, Priscila, Edsson; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Russell (Maxine) Fetters of Midland MI, Willard ('Tiny') Fetters of Whitehall; sisters, Lorna (Harvey) Reeds of Hart, Eunice Merritt of OK; several nieces & nephews. Alfred was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Jenkins. SERVICE Friday, June 20, 2008, 11:00 AM at VFW Post #446, 165 S Getty, Muskegon. Interment at Hart Cemetery.
