LAFKAS, MR. ALEXANDER THEODORE Muskegon, MI Mr. Alexander Theodore Lafkas, age 84, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003. He was born in Ishpeming, MI on December 25, 1918 to George & Helen Antonakos Lafkas & married the former Mary Zervas on May 25, 1941. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was the Club Manager & Caterer for the Masonic Temple for 50 years. Mr. Lafkas was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Order of AHEPA, the Masonic Temple, Lovell Moore Lodge #182, Muskegon Chapter #47, RAM, Muskegon Council #54 RNSM, Muskegon Commandry 22 KT, Dewitt Clinton Consistry 32nd Degree MSA & the Saladine Shrine. Alex was a man who gave love freely to his family, to his friends & to his community. SURVIVORS 1 son, George Lafkas of E. Lansing, MI; 1 daughter, Helene Constantine Georgalan of Madison, WI; 5 grandchildren, Maria Davis, Peter Georgalan, Demetra Lafkas, Alexander G. Lafkas & Andrew D. Lafkas; 1 sister, Emily Sedaris of Chicago, IL; 1 brother, Nicholas Xrysouli Lafkas of Greece. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in October of 2001. SERVICE Monday, March 10, 2003, 11:30 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Steve Yankopoulos & Fr. James Bogdon officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Sunday, 2-4 & 6-9 PM with a Masonic service at 3:00 PM & a Trisagian service at 8:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
