Alberta Nicles

Mrs. Alberta Josephine Nicles, age 91, died Saturday, April 21, 2007. She was born on November 13, 1916 in Muskegon to Leslie and Agnes (Witt) Young. Alberta married Robert Lincoln Nicles on May 28, 1937 and he died on November 20, 1985. She was a member of St. Jean's Catholic Church, loved to care for her plants and garden, to knit and play the organ. Alberta was a vibrant, strong person and once you met her you would be sure to remember her. Survivors are her children, Judith (Charles) Dobberstein of Muskegon, Frederick (Linda) Nicles of North Muskegon and Mary (Kenneth) Schaub of Holton; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Jay) Poll of Kalamazoo; brothers, Paul (Ada) Young of Pleasant Valley, NY, and Russell (Barbara) Young of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 1PM Wednesday afternoon at St. Jean's Catholic Church. Burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight (Tuesday) from 6-8 PM at the Pachesny-Jend Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Jean's Endowment Fund or Hospice of Michigan.
