Mrs. Alberta Dempsey, age 92, passed away Monday, November 19, 2007 in Coopersville, MI. She was born March 5, 1915 in Muskegon, MI. The former Alberta Nelson married Joseph W. Dempsey March 17, 1933 in Michigan City, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 17, 1990. Mrs. Dempsey was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Alter Society and worked as an office clerk for General Telephone until her retirement in 1977. She is survived by 1 son, Joseph Dempsey of Brookfield, WI; 1 daughter, Mrs. Jane (Archie) Runnels of Norton Shores, MI; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, 2 sisters, and her parents.
