Albert E. Strahsburg

STRAHSBURG, MR. ALBERT "AL" Grand Haven Mr. Albert "Al" Strahsburg, age 92, died Friday, September 23, 2005. He was born in Grand Haven, MI on October 29, 1912 to Fred & Anna Fritz Strahsburg & married the former Frieda Weigl on October 13, 1937. She preceded him in death in 1999. Mr. Strahsburg owned Strahsburg Food Market on Washington St. until 1965 and at the same time he blueberry farmed, later he worked at Heyboer Transformers and retired in 1977. He was a member of the Elks, and the International Safari Club, and enjoyed big game hunting & fishing. Mr. Strahsburg went on Safaris to Africa, Russia, Alaska, Scotland & Yugoslavia. SURVIVORS 2 daughters, Marge Bob Kent of Kalamazoo, MI & Jan Babcock of Holt, MI; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Steve Lockwood, Stephanie Andy Cable, Amy Babcock & Dianna Kent; 2 great grandchildren, Zoe & Jacob Cable & many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents & a brother, Chet Strahsburg. VISITATION Thursday, September 29, 2005, 2-5 PM at Clock Funeral Home. There will be no service. Contributions may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
