Albert "Jay" Pell, affectionately known as Jay, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Twin Lake, Michigan. Born on October 31, 1956, in Fremont, Michigan, Jay lived a life deeply connected to his community and family.
For over two decades, Jay was a dedicated auctioneer at the Ravenna Poultry Sale, where his voice and presence became a beloved fixture in the local agricultural community. His passion for farming and small engine repair showcased his hands-on approach to life and his love for working with the land and machinery. Outside of his professional pursuits, Jay cherished time spent with his family, who were the foundation of his life.
Jay is survived by his loving wife, Shauna Pell; his children, Heather (Keith) Cranston and Joe (Christin Pell; and his bonus daughter, Tiffany Proctor. He was a proud grandfather to Christian (Ashton), Lillian, and Keith Cranston Jr.; Hunter, Hayden, and Hadley Pell; and Aiden Proctor, and a great grandfather to Meadow Cranston and Myla Wilcoxson. He is also survived by his siblings John (Kris) Pell, Linda Dilling, Cheryl Pell, and Nancy (David) Dalrymple, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will hold his memory dear.
He was predeceased by his father Harold Pell and his mother Betty (Glen) Link and grandson Liam Proctor.
Jay's legacy is one of hard work, devotion to family, and a steadfast connection to the farming community he served so faithfully. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 6, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Community of Christ Church, located at 2671 Ducey Ave.
