Albert "Al" J. Miller

Mr. Albert "Al" J. Miller, age 76, died Friday, November 30, 2007 in Muskegon. He was born on November 15, 1931 in Muskegon to Albert and Agnes (Hommer) Miller, and had resided in the area all of his life. Al had worked at Sealed Power for 38 years before retiring in 1989, and served his country in the U.S. Marines. He belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church, and had been on the Sealed Power Financial Credit Union Committee for many years. Al enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing, gardening and especially his granddaughters. On June 25, 1955 he married the former Kaye Eisenlohr, and she survives him along with 3 children, Gary (Jasna) Miller of Del Mar, CA, Deb (Kathy) Miller of San Diego, CA, and Shari (Joe) Dobb of Muskegon; 2 granddaughters, Rachel and Emma; and 1 brother, Bernard Miller of California. Al was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Richard Miller. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 10 AM Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Page presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231)798-1100 and 1 hour prior to the service at church, from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Harbor Hospice or the American Red Cross will be appreciated.
